<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the number of media to be stacked cannot be increased, because in a medium insertion/ejection mechanism for holding and rotating a medium, the mechanism comprises an element for detecting the medium, wiring cord of the element interferes with operation of the mechanism so that a space for stacking media is restricted. <P>SOLUTION: In a medium insertion/ejection mechanism for holding and rotating a medium, a portion of a medium processing device, outside a rotation range of the medium insertion/ejection mechanism, comprises medium detection means for detecting presence of the medium. Furthermore, the medium processing device comprises: a medium ejection port for ejecting and stacking the medium to the medium insertion/ejection mechanism; and a roller having a blade part for feeding the medium which is arranged in the vicinity of the medium ejection port.
