<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering member installing structure capable of absorbing a relative dimensional error between a steering member and a vehicle body side member by deformation of a mount bracket, and capable of avoiding influence on installation consistency to the vehicle body side member of an instrument panel by the deformation. <P>SOLUTION: When joining the steering member 1 to a front pillar 3 via the mount bracket 11, when the relative dimensional error is caused in the vehicle width direction, only an easily deforming part 21 around a joining seat part 13 absorbs the error by being bent and deformed in the vehicle width direction, thus avoiding influence on the installation consistency to the front pillar 3 of the instrument panel 2 connected and fixed to connecting support parts 16 and 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
