The motor car comprises a supporting structure (5) for a roof, which is provided with a main strut (6) and an auxiliary strut (7). The main strut is connected with an upper end of a left A-pillar (2) and an upper end of a right C-pillar (4'), and the auxiliary strut is connected with an upper end of a right A-pillar (2') and an upper end of a left C-pillar (4), so that the two struts intersect in a central roof node (8). The two struts are formed from fiber-reinforced plastic, as a single-component. The supporting structure is made of glass fiber or carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
