METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CUSTOMIZED SKULL IMPLANT APPLIED TO CRANIOPLASTY

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing customized skull implants for a cranioplasty is provided to generate three dimensional(3D) template images based on 3D implant images and to manufacture implant templates. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing customized skull implants for a cranioplasty includes the following: the computed tomography(CT) data with respect to the skulls of patients is acquired based on a CT device(S10); 3D implant images with respect to the damaged regions of the skulls of the patients are generated based on the CT data(S12); 3D template images with respect to skull implants for the damaged regions is generated based on the 3D implant images(S13); implant templates are generated based on the 3D template images(S14); and materials are injected into the implant templates to generate the skull implants(S15, S16).
