PURPOSE: A composition containing an antibody having peptides which are specifically selected in coat protein amino acid sequences of CMV is provided to effectively and accurately analyze CMV-CP in a sample. CONSTITUTION: A CMV(cucumber mosaic virus) coat protein antigen has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 5. The CMV coat protein is prepared by fusing cysteine of an amino acid sequence of sequence number 9 with a carrier protein. A composition for detecting a transformant having CMV or CMV coat protein contains an antibody to CMV coat protein antigen. The antibody is a monoclonal antibody. The composition is used for ELISA.
