<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering system capable of suppressing transmission of external force applied to a steered wheel to a steering shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The steering system includes a rack shaft 20 for operating the steered wheel, a pinion shaft moving on the rack shaft 20, a support mechanism for rollingly bearing the rack shaft 20, and a rack housing 30 for storing the rack shaft 20. A friction imparting mechanism 50 imparting friction resistance to the rack shaft 20 and adjusting the size of the friction resistance is arranged between the rack housing 30 and the rack shaft 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
