<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a sound source from a sound pressure signal of sound and a video signal collected at an observation point, and to calculate distance between the estimated sound source and the observation point in real time. <P>SOLUTION: A sound and video collection unit with microphones M1 to M5 and a camera is arranged at a first observation point P<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to collect a sound pressure signal and a video signal, a sound collection unit with microphones M6 to M9 is arranged at a second observation point P<SB POS="POST">2</SB>to collect a sound pressure signal, distance L between the first observation point P<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and the sound source is calculated from a horizontal angle θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and an elevation angle ϕ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>in the sound source direction, observed from the first observation point P<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, estimated by using sound pressure waveform data obtained by performing A/D conversion of the sound pressure signals and a horizontal angle θ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>in the sound source direction, observed from the second observation point P<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, an image G<SB POS="POST">k</SB>for estimating the sound source obtained by drawing a graphic showing the direction of the sound source in an image created by using image data obtained by performing the A/D conversion of the video signal collected at the first observation point P<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, the horizontal angle θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and the elevation angle ϕ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and data on the distance L are displayed on a display screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
