<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire with an excellent effect of making ruggedness caused on the surface of a sidewall become inconspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: The surface of the sidewall of the pneumatic tire includes: a background decoration area which is decorated by a first ridge; a plurality of belt-like ridge area; a non-decoration area; and a mark display area. The plurality of band form ridge areas are provided to be surrounded by the background decoration area, are decorated by a second ridge, and formed to extend in a tire circumferential direction while being displaced in a tire radial direction. The plurality of belt-like ridge areas have intersections which intersect each other.
