<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake prediction device with a simple structure, high practicality, and improved handleability allowing personal or home use. <P>SOLUTION: An earthquake prediction device 10 according to the present invention includes: an electronic compass 13; a control unit 14; and warning means 15. When electromagnetic waves act on the electronic compass 13 and the control unit 14 detects a deviation of the azimuth larger than a set value from the correct azimuth, the warning means 15 starts to operate. The warning means 15 keeps operating while the electromagnetic waves act, and stops operation when actions of the electromagnetic waves are no longer detected. The earthquake prediction device 10 includes an azimuth magnet 3 which can turn the electronic compass 13 to a correct azimuth.
