This heating cooker has a heating chamber or a heating area, a plurality of heating means having different heating characteristics, and an operating unit where an operator performs a predetermined input operation. The operating unit has a heating means selection key, with which a heating means to be used for cooking is selected from among the heating means, and a heating time setting key, with which a heating time is set, and in a display section, heating time display areas are provided by each of the heating means having different heating characteristics. Furthermore, the heating cooker is configured such that a value inputted by means of the key, with which the heating time is set, changes corresponding to the heating characteristics of the heating means.
