<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-photographic belt which has high durability and improves shape precision. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an electro-photographic belt in a seamless shape from a resin tube comprised of a resin mixture containing a thermoplastic resin is provided. The method includes a step of disposing the resin tube coaxially with a tubular metal die having an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the resin tube within an internal space of the tubular metal die and making the inside of the resin tube into a sealed space, a step of controlling pressure at least in either the internal space of the tubular metal die or the sealed space of the resin tube so as to generate differential pressure between the pressure in the internal space and the pressure in the sealed space of the resin tube, and heating the resin tube within a temperature range that is equal to or higher than a glass transition temperature of the resin tube and lower than the fusing point thereof while maintaining the shape of the resin tube, a step of regulating the differential pressure and expanding the resin tube so as to bring an outer circumferential surface of the resin tube into contact with an inner wall of the tubular metal die, and a step of cooling the resin tube lower than the glass transition temperature of the resin tube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
