<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can change a restriction method of a paper sheet position depending on a type of a print medium. <P>SOLUTION: The printer includes: a platen roller which delivers the print medium; and a print head which prints on the print medium in a state in which it sandwiches the print medium with the platen roller. The printer includes: a casing which has a housing part for housing the print medium wound in a roll; a cover which is arranged so as to be opened and closed freely with respect to the casing; an upper surface guide which is arranged on the cover, and guides an upper surface of the print medium delivered to the platen roller on a downstream side of a delivering direction from the housing part on an upstream side of the delivering direction of the print medium when the casing is closed by the cover; and a lower surface guide which is arranged on the casing, and has at least one rib for preventing deflection of the print medium by supporting a lower surface of the print medium in a position opposite to the upper surface guide in a state in which the casing is closed by the cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
