The car (1) has energy storage units (3) comprising multiple electrical blocks (7) that are provided with multiple electrical cells for storing electrical energy. Charging connectors (4) are connected with the energy storage units and charging cables (5), where the energy storage units are connected with an external energy source (6) by the charging cables. The charging connectors are assigned with the electrical blocks that exhibit equal or different sizes. A detection unit communicates with a control device and detects a connection of the charging cables with the charging connectors. The energy storage units are designed as lithium ion batteries.
