<p>The present invention relates to a peptide capable of increasing the speed of movement of a kinesin or of the functional homologue thereof on microtubules. Said kinesin may be isolated from a fungus, plant, dipteran, cephalopod, invertebrate or vertebrate, preferably human, and the functional homologue may be isolated from a prokaryotic organism. The microtubules may be isolated from a fungus, plant, invertebrate or vertebrate, preferably human, bovine, porcine, ovine, caprine and equine. The peptide of the invention can be used in a method for increasing the speed of movement of a kinesin or of the functional homologue thereof on microtubules and in a device, preferably a biosensor or a molecule-carrier device that comprises a peptide of the invention, a kinesin or a functional homologue thereof, microtubules and ATP on a substrate, preferably glass or SiO2.</p> |
