<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor design that allows for replacement or repair of one or more braze or weld joints in an end cover. <P>SOLUTION: A combustor (10) includes an end cover (18), and a borehole (30) through the end cover (18). The combustor (10) further includes an insert (34) in the borehole (30) in the end cover (18) and at least one continuous passage (32) through the end cover (18) and the insert (34). A ring (40) is fixedly connected to the end cover (18) with a seal (44) between the ring (40) and the insert (34). A method for repairing the combustor (10) includes fixedly connecting the ring (40) to the end cover (18) and installing the replacement insert (34) in the end cover (18).
