<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having a π conjugate structure which is useful to be contained in the organic semiconductor layer of an organic transistor, and to provide a thin film using it, and a compound which is a precursor for obtaining a compound including the π conjugate structure. <P>SOLUTION: The compound has a structural unit represented by formula (1) [In the formula, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represent a substituent group, independently.
