<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recommend a musical piece that suits individual user's likes and tastes regardless of general name recognition or popularity of the musical piece. <P>SOLUTION: The device detects a chord progression in a plurality of musical pieces specified by a user as a play list, extracts a characteristic chord progression according to the number of times of appearances (the number of musical pieces, total number of times of appearances, time of appearances, relative volume, and the like), and selects and recommends a musical piece having something in common with the combination of the characteristic chord progressions. Thus the characteristic chord progression common among a plurality of musical pieces, which is a musical factor that considers individual likes and tastes more multilaterally, is used as a reference of the recommendation, thereby enabling a recommendation of a musical piece that suit individual user's likes and tastes regardless of general name recognition or popularity of the musical piece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
