<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frequency of stopping of printing by the replacement of an ink container. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes a first container and a second container that contain ink of the same color, a first nozzle group for discharging the ink supplied from the first container, and a second nozzle group for discharging the ink supplied from the second container. When an amount of the remaining ink in either the first container or the second container becomes a predetermined value or less while printing is performed using the first nozzle group and the second nozzle group based on a first printing data in which image data is assigned to the first nozzle group and the second nozzle group, the first printing data is converted to the second printing data in which the image data is assigned to the nozzle group to which the ink is supplied from the other container whose amount of the remaining ink is not a predetermined value or less, and printing is continued using the nozzle group to which the ink is supplied from the other container based on the second printing data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
