<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine that allows the contents of a game to be easily understood while novel. <P>SOLUTION: When a game ball enters a variable starting hole and a big bonus occurs, a big-bonus game is played. Even if a big bonus occurs in a normal-probability condition, the opening time of the variable starting hole is not extended after the big-bonus game, but if a big bonus occurs in a high-probability condition or if a big bonus occurs in the extended state of the opening time, the opening time of the variable starting hole is extended. It is difficult to extend the opening time of the variable starting hole, but once extended, it is relatively easy to maintain that state, so a player can feel satisfied with a game under a state in which the opening time is extended.
