The holder (1) has an actuating sleeve (8) provided with a radial clearance on a central sleeve (2) at one end (15). A ball path bounding surface (11) includes another radial clearance (18), which is larger than the former radial clearance. A circumferential groove (9) is aligned with an incident ball (7) and comprises an axial clearance (19) for the ball in an insertion position (21). An inner circumference of the actuating sleeve is arranged between the bounding surface and a frictional engagement surface (12), and includes a common guide surface operative between the sleeves.
