<p>The heating system comprises a housing (2), a conveyor tube (3), a conveying mechanism (4) for transporting a mineral wool granule, and a heating device for heating the mineral wool granule. The conveyor tube comprises a material inlet (6) and a material outlet (7) for the mineral wool granule. The conveying mechanism is arranged within the conveyor tube, where the heating device partly surrounds the conveyor tube. The heating device encloses the conveyor tube over its periphery completely, and is formed by electrical heating mats, which are arranged one behind the other. The conveyor tube comprises an exhaust outlet and an air inlet, where the air inlet is formed by the material inlet. The exhaust outlet and the air inlet are arranged at opposite ends of the conveying mechanism. An independent claim is included for a method of removing binding agents from mineral wool granule.</p> |
