The invention relates to a filter element (10) for filtering fluids, in particular fuel, oil, gas, preferably air, or water, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle. The filter element (10) comprises a filter medium (12) surrounding an internal space (20). The filter medium (12) has at least one end body (14). The end body (14) has an opening (18) to the internal space (20). The opening (18) is covered by a removable cover disk (28). The cover disk (28) has an adhesive layer (30) on the surface thereof facing the opening (18). The adhesive layer (30) extends flat over an inner region (32) of the surface of the cover disk (28), which region covers the opening (18), and a fixing region (34) of the surface of the cover disk (28), which surrounds the inner region (32) on the outside. Using the adhesive layer (30), the cover disk (28) adheres in the fixing region (34) to an adhesive area (26) on the end body which surrounds the opening (18). |
