<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a stereoscopic image of high quality by suppressing crosstalk between a right-eye image and a left-eye image. <P>SOLUTION: A 3D image display device which alternates a right-eye field and a left-eye field, and displays gradations using a sub-field code indicative of a combination of illumination and non-illumination of each of sub-fields includes an image signal processing circuit 31 which inputs an image signal and outputs a display code for displaying gradations, and the image signal processing circuit 31 includes an afterglow detection circuit 37 which detects, as a pixel generating an afterglow, a pixel where the image signal has a gradation equal to or higher than a high-gradation threshold in one of the right-eye field and left-eye field and a gradation equal to or lower than a low-gradation threshold in the other field, and a sub-field code conversion circuit 38 which converts the image signal to the pixel detected by the afterglow detection circuit into a display code making a sub-field arranged at the end of the field not illuminate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
