<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recordable time display device capable of appropriately displaying a recordable time, and to provide a method for displaying a recordable time, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: When recording radio broadcasting received by a radio broadcasting receiving unit 102, a compression/conversion unit 105 generates a second image signal including an audio signal of the radio broadcasting and a first image signal. A signal recording unit 106 records the second image signal in a recording unit 107. An audio signal compressing unit 113 converts the second image signal into the audio signal. A control unit 124, when determining that a free capacity of the recording unit 107 is larger than a predetermined threshold, calculates a first recordable time taken for recording the signal data in the storage unit 107 having a capacity equivalent to the threshold, calculates a second recordable time taken for recording the signal data in the storage unit 107 having a capacity obtained by subtracting a capacity equivalent to the threshold from the free capacity, and calculating and displaying the recordable time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
