<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required from a conveyance start up to conveyance completion without deteriorating conveyance accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A conveyance device includes: (A) a conveyance mechanism that conveys a medium; and (B) a control part that elongates a time required for a deceleration operation in comparison with a time required for an acceleration operation from the start of conveyance up to the stop of the conveyance of the medium regarding the acceleration operation, an operation when the conveyance mechanism starts the conveyance of the medium and accelerates the conveyance speed of the medium and the deceleration operation, an operation when the conveyance mechanism decelerates the deceleration speed of the medium and stops conveyance of the medium.
