<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sensor which can be kept clean. <P>SOLUTION: An optical sensor 1 for detecting light emission in combustion processes in a combustion chamber 7 has at least one lens 2 disposed on the tip of the optical sensor and facing the combustion chamber 7. A heating device 4 wound around the lens 2 heats the tip of the optical sensor to a temperature at which any soot on the lens 2 from the combustion chamber 7 is burned away to keep the optical sensor 1 clean. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
