The present invention relates to a thin and in principle unsupported solid oxide cell, comprising at least a porous anode layer, an electrolyte layer and a porous cathode layer, wherein the anode layer and the cathode layer comprise an electrolyte material, at least one metal and a catalyst material, and wherein the overall thickness of the thin reversible cell is about 150 µm or less, and to a method for producing same.

The present invention further provides a thin separation membrane, comprising at least a porous anode layer, a membrane layer comprising a mixed conducting material and a porous cathode layer, wherein the anode layer and the cathode layer comprise the mixed conducting material and a catalyst material, and wherein the overall thickness of the thin separation membrane is about 150 µm or less. |
