A telephone impulsing device, Fig. 1, comprises a housing 20 containing a flexible selector strip 11 supported for reciprocating movement on a pair of rollers 40, 41, Fig. 3, the strip being formed with a series of numbered finger depressions 12. A depression selected by the operator is guided to traverse a rectilinear path limited by a stop. Return of the strip to its normal position is urged by a spring (not shown) attached to one of the rollers. During the return movement an impulse transmitter (not shown) operatively coupled to one of the rollers is actuated. The strip may be of endless form, Fig. 3, or of finite length with the ends 30, 31 (dotted lines) secured to the rollers. The strip is of plastics or rubber-coated textile. It is formed with ten depressions numbered 1 to 9 and 0. Alternatively, two strips 31A, 31B, Fig. 2. are provided, one having five depressions numbered 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and the other having five depressions numbered 2, 4, 6, 8, 0. A single impulse transmitter is then coupled to one roller of each pair of rollers. |
