The invention proceeds from a multifunctional module (10) for attaching to an internal combustion engine and for conducting fluids in the form of exhaust gas (5) and coolant (16), having the following: a first line section (1A, 1B) which is designed for a part of the exhaust-gas recirculation system, at least with a feed line (1C) to an exhaust-gas cooler; a second line section (2A, 2B) which is designed for a part of a cooling system, at least with a feed line (2C) to a thermostatic element (TE). According to the concept of the invention, the module (10) also has a first chamber (3) for the arrangement of an exhaust-gas regulating device (EGR valve) for regulating an exhaust-gas flow (5) which returns to the engine (M).
