Window mounted raft system

An inflatable life raft system (215) for an aircraft (201) includes a window (221, 217) coupled to a fuselage portion (223) of the aircraft. A mechanism is used to selectively detach the window (221, 217) from the fuselage. An inflatable life raft (249) is deployable to the exterior of the aircraft upon detachment of the window (221, 217) from the aircraft (201).
