The invention relates to a method for diagnosis and/or risk assessment of pancreatic diabetes, in particular of diabetic sequelae, wherein a determination of the marker mid-regional proAdrenomedullin (MR-proADM: SEQ ID No. 2) or a partial peptide or fragment thereof or if contained in a marker combination (Panel, Cluster) is carried out on a patient under investigation.
