<p>A lubricant injection device (30, 60, 130) for an internal combustion engine comprises a lubricant distribution element (31,61,131) and a passage (32,62,132) for supplying lubricant to the lubricant distribution element (31, 61,131) and an inlet opening (33, 63, 133) for receiving lubricant from a lubricant supply device (34, 64, 134). The lubricant distribution element (31, 61, 131) comprises an opening (35, 65, 135) for distributing the lubricant onto the surface of a cylinder liner (8) or piston (4), said opening (35, 65, 135) being closable by a closing element (36, 66, 136) for interrupting the lubricant supply. The lubricant injection device further contains a lubricant heating element (38, 68, 138) for heating the lubricant in the passage (32, 62, 132).</p> |
