<p>PURPOSE: A method for dynamically controlling an H-ARQ(Hybrid-Automatic Repeat Request) process as well as data transmission parameters and an apparatus thereof are provided to dynamically control data transmission parameters like modulation and coding schemes and a transport block set size. CONSTITUTION: A system(100) comprises a WTRU(Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit)(102), a node-B(104), and a radio network controller(106). The WTRU transmits data by using a transmitter(120) through an E-DCH(Enhanced Dedicated Channel)(108). Feedback is received from the node-B by using a receiver(122) through a down-link signaling channel(110). The node-B transmits an ACK message to the WTRU canceling an H-ARQ process of other transmission. The WTRU includes a data buffer(112), a data lifetime timer(114), and a retransmission counter(116). The buffer, the lifetime timer, and the retransmission counter are controlled by a controller(118).</p> |
