摘要 A method for estimating road friction coefficient is provided to improve the stability of vehicle driving since the exact load friction coefficient is measured in driving at the heeling road and in real time. A method for estimating road friction coefficient comprises as follows. The value dividing the torque value (Ts) outputted from the steering torque sensor(2) into the steering angle outputted from the steering angle sensor(1) in turning is compared with the constant number A. If the value is smaller than the constant number A, the road is determined as the low friction road surface. If the value is bigger than the constant number A, the road is determined as the high friction road surface.
