PURPOSE: A sound source direction sensing device and method are provided to effectively detect the direction of sound source while using a rotary type microphone array attached to a free end. CONSTITUTION: A sound source direction sensing device(10) comprises a rotary type microphone array(12), a position measurement part(14), a frequency measurement part(16), and a controller(18). The rotary type microphone array installs a microphone. The position measurement measures the location of the microphone installed in the rotary type microphone array. The frequency measurement part measures Doppler frequency of a sound source measured in the microphone. The controller determines the direction of the sound source buy using the Doppler frequency and the location of the microphone.
