The apparatus has a mixer rotated in a mixing vessel by a rotating shaft (22) driven by a magnetic coupling driving device (30), and a separation wall (50) between inner and outer parts (32, 34) of the device. The wall and a casing (40) define a housing (60) filled with a heat-transfer fluid (62) e.g. water, that is in contact with the outer part and is not in contact with the inner part and the shaft. A circulation unit circulates the fluid inside the casing, and has communication holes (82) traversing the outer part. An evacuation unit having a jacket (92) evacuates heat from the fluid.
