PURPOSE: An insert chip and a plasma torch are provided to smoothly return cooling water by forming a V-shaped cooling water passage, thereby improving the cooling performance of a chip. CONSTITUTION: An insert chip comprises a plurality of nozzle members, a chip base body(1), and a joining unit(25a). The plurality of nozzle members comprises a conical hat-shaped portion(21a) attached on a nozzle(3a), a stem(22a), a male screw(24a), a seal material(23a), and an inner electrode space(2a). The stem, male screw, and the seal member are formed into one body in the conical hat-shaped portion. The chip base body comprises a nozzle member insertion hole(18a), refrigerant circulating holes(1f,1g), a refrigerant inflow hole, a refrigerant outflow hole, and refrigerant passing holes(1j). The nozzle member is inserted into the nozzle member insertion hole from the male screw unit to the stem. The refrigerant passing holes connect the refrigerant circulating holes adjacent to each other. One refrigerant passing hole connects the refrigerant circulating hole to the refrigerant inflow hole and the other refrigerant passing hole connects the refrigerant circulation hole to the refrigerant outflow hole. The joining unit fixes the nozzle members to the chip base body.
