PURPOSE: A battery is provided to enhance energy density by increasing occupying ratio of fenerating factor in capacity within the battery container. CONSTITUTION: A battery(1) comprises a package which accepts a generating factor(3), current collectors(12,13) which electrically connect to the generating factor and the external terminals(14,15) arranged outside the package, and packings(17,18) laid between the inner surface of the packing and the current collector. The packing comprises a receiving part which is accepted in a concave part formed in the inner surface of package. The current collector comprises a base part which is electrically connected with the external terminal and a connection part which is projected from the base part and is electrically connected to the generating factor.
