CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR GIRDER USING CONFINED CONCRETE

PURPOSE: A construction method of a bridge using confined concrete is provided to prevent a steel girder from becoming deformed by confining an upper flange using confined concrete. CONSTITUTION: A construction method of a bridge using confined concrete is as follows. Confined concrete is placed on the tops of steel girders(10). Tensile strength is generated on the top of the steel girders, and compressive strength is generated on the bottoms of the steel girders by applying pre-stress to the steel girders. A form is installed on the top of the confined concrete, and slab concrete(30) is placed thereon. After the slab concrete is cured, the applied pre-stress is removed.
