PURPOSE: An optical pickup device is provided to form a crack preventing unit in a bearing unit when an impact is applied to a housing while a shaft member is mounted in the bearing unit. CONSTITUTION: A first bearing unit includes a first crack preventing unit(16), a first cylindrical shaft sliding contact unit, a second crack preventing unit(17), and a second cylindrical shaft sliding contact unit. The first cylindrical shaft sliding contact unit contacts a first shaft from the first crack preventing unit to a first opening. The second first crack preventing unit faces the inside of a fourth opening of a second insertion pass area. The second cylindrical shaft sliding contact unit contacts a second shaft from the second crack preventing unit to a third opening.
