PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of pneumatic tires is provided to bring the length of a carcass cord at an overlapped portion to the length of the carcass cord at a non-overlapped portion. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of pneumatic tires comprises the following steps: an arrangement(31) of a carcass cord arranged in an axis direction is coated by a topping rubber(32); and forming a toroid carcass by welding a plurality of strip fly pieces(13) having a sheet shape towards a tire circumference direction in order. The pneumatic tire is formed by using a rigidity core body. In a tread unit, the carcass is arranged without overlapping or contacting the side parts of the strip fly units. The carcass has a folding unit in which the sidewall parts are overlapped at the side wall part. The array of the carcass cord includes an outside carcass cord (30a) and an inner side carcass cord (30b). The modulus(Mo) of the outer carcass cord is formed smaller than the modulus (Mi) of the inner side carcass cord.
