A developing cartridge is detachably mountable to a supporting member of an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording material. The developing cartridge comprises a developing roller for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photosensitive drum; a force receiving portion for receiving a force for spacing said developing roller and the photosensitive drum from the contacting and spacing member taking the second position; and a developing device coupling member engageable with a main assembly side coupling member of the plurality of main assembly side coupling members in interrelation with closing of the door, said developing device coupling member being capable of receiving from the main assembly side coupling member a driving force for rotating said developing roller. |
