摘要 Nucleic acid sequence having a total or a part of sequence of [SEQ ID NO: 1, 2 or 3] has a transcriptional promoter activity, and the part of the sequence comprising at least 30 consecutive nucleotides, is new. Nucleic acid sequence having a total or a part of promoter sequence of gene AgMaT3 from Apium graveolens of sequence of [SEQ ID NO: 1], a total or a part of promoter sequence of gene AgMT2 from Apium graveolens of sequence of [SEQ ID NO: 2], or a total or a part of promoter sequence of gene AgMT3 from Apium graveolens of sequence of [SEQ ID NO: 3], given in the specification has a transcriptional promoter activity, where the part of the sequence comprising at least 30 consecutive nucleotides, is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a nucleic acid sequence complementary to the promoter sequence; (2) a nucleic acid probe hybrids with the promoter sequence under strong stringency conditions, where the probe has at least 25 nucleotides; (3) a DNA construct comprising the promoter sequence and a sequence that has to be transcribed under the promoter sequence control; (4) a transgenic plant cell comprising the DNA construct; (5) a process of preparing the transgenic plant comprising obtaining the DNA construct, introducing the construct into the plant cell, regenerating the transgenic plant and proliferating the plant; and (6) the transgenic plant obtained by the process.
