PURPOSE: A chemical hardening method using a chemical pad is provided to obtain high quality hardened products by providing same temperature condition and potassium nitrate(KNO) concentration for each glass. CONSTITUTION: A chemical hardening method using a chemical pad comprises the following steps: mixing potassium nitrate with different chemicals and impregnating the mixture into a cloth which can endure at 500 deg. Celsius heat; manufacturing a chemical pad; laminating chemical pad and glasses in multi-layer of chemical pads(2), glasses(3), and chemical pad in order between heat plates(1); heat controlling by adding electricity into a thermal plate according to temperature-regulate schedule; and substituting sodium ion (Na+) on the glass surface with potassium ion (K+) on the chemical pad by providing same temperature condition and potassium nitrate (KNO) concentration on each glass. |
