PURPOSE: A method and a device for reducing loads on a rotor of a wind power generator are provided to control the RPM of the rotor in order to decrease the excessive rotation of the rotor caused by a sudden gust. CONSTITUTION: A device for reducing loads on a rotor of a wind power generator comprises a detector, a controller, a flap actuator, and an error tracker. The detector detects the RPM of the rotor, which rotates blades having a flap structure(S410). The controller generates a reduced rotary speed by comparing a rated speed with a detected speed. The flap actuator reduces the RPM of the rotor by operating the flam structure according to the reduced rotary speed(S421). The error tracker compares the reduced rotary speed with output rotary speed reduced by the flap actuator, and corrects errors by comparisons(S430). |
