PURPOSE: A method and system for providing a multimedia content synthetic imagery chatting service by recognizing a voice signal in a portable terminal are provided to display flash images or images related to keywords in real time by extracting the keywords from a voice message. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal extracts voice from a voice message using a voice analysis engine of an application(S212). The user terminal compares keywords corresponding to preset multimedia content data and words separated from the voice message by recognizing the voice(S220). When the word matches with a specific keyword, the user terminal extracts the multimedia content data corresponding to the specific keyword(S222,S226). The user terminal reproduces the extracted multimedia content data on a chatting screen(S230).
