PURPOSE: A virtual treasure hunt system using a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to set up a virtual mark by using a real map and geography. CONSTITUTION: A treasure hunt server(101) confirms obtaining information about a virtual mark. The treasure hunt server differentially gives a reward according to the sameness of a group, having members which obtain the virtual mark, and another group having members which sets up the virtual mark. A mobile communication terminal(131) sets up the virtual mark in a geographical position through an application. The mobile communication terminal obtains a corresponding displayed virtual mark for a reward by approaching to the position in which the virtual mark is set.
