823,372. Perambulator brakes. SEBEL & CO. Ltd., D. Feb. 21, 1956 [Feb. 21, 1955], No. 5112/55. Class 103 (1). A brake for perambulators, push chairs, tricycles and like hand-propelled vehicles, comprises a plunger 10, slidable in and part secured to an upwardly extending frame member 4, which is urged downwardly by a spring 13, but has its lower end normally held clear of slots 6 in the castellated peripheral wall of a cup member 5 rotatable with the wheel axle 2 by reason of the upper cranked end 11 of the plunger 10 resting on a shoulder of the bracket 7. The brake is applied by rotating the handle 12 so that the part 11 moves into the recessed part of bracket 7, and the lower end of plunger 10 can engage one of the slots in the rim of member 5.
