CARBOACEOUS NANOMATERAIL AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Carbon nanomaterials and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the dispersibility of carbon nanofiber and to effectively support catalysts by introducing nitrogen into the carbon nanofiber. CONSTITUTION: Carbon nanomaterials include carbon nanofiber containing nitrogen. The nitrogen is doped to the carbon nanofiber. The content of the nitrogen in the carbon nanofiber is in a range between 0.5 and 10 atomic%. The ratio of nitrogen and carbon(N/C) in the carbon nanofiber is in a range between 1.0 and 5.0atomic%. The carbon nanofiber is a herringbone structure. The average diameter of the carbon nanofiber is in a range between 30 and 100nm. The specific surface area of the carbon nanofiber is in a range between 50 and 500m^2/g.
