PURPOSE: A simulation apparatus and method for performance evaluation of a plant are provided to recognize lower components and systems affected by a component having a failure event and determine the priorities of partial generation and repair work of a plant. CONSTITUTION: A drawing data storage module(140) stores drawing data including information on components and pipelines. An input interface unit(110) receives the drawing data and inputs predetermined events to the components. A performance evaluation engine(130) determines the thermal output performance and operation stoppage of a plant. An output interface unit(120) shows the evaluation result of the performance evaluation engine to a user.
